Tuesday 17th June a.m.
Another sunny morning at 13°C as I had a walk around Leeming Res with House Martins & Sand Martins flying around. Several Grey Wagtails & Pied Wagtails were seen, four Tufteds were on the water and a Common Sandpiper & Oystercatcher were at the side of the water. Others seen were Willow Warbler & Whitethroat.

Monday 16th June a.m.
A sunny morning starting off at 16°C with a gentle breeze taking the edge of the temperature as I walked across Hewenden Viaduct with a dozen Swifts overhead. At the other side there was a Pied Wagtail with a beak full of flies, no doubt for young ones nearby, Swallows were in and out of old buildings. On the Reservoir there were two Mute Swans and a few Canadas with more grazing at the other side of the res. When I had walked round I could also see a Mistle Thrush and around the farm were more Swallows, House Martins & Sand Martins. There were young Starlings feeding in nearby fields, others were Grey Heron & Goldfinch.

Friday 13th June a.m.
A dull overcast start but mild starting off at 12°C as I went for a stroll on Harden Moor. The usual suspects were seen & heard including Cuckoo, Sand Martin, Garden Warbler, Chiffchaff, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Skylark, Meadow Pipit, Linnet, Goldfinch, Song Thrush & Jay.

Wednesday 11th June a.m.
A dry morning with some hazy sunshine and a start temperature of 11°C as I ventured just across the border in to Lancashire in search of Sanderling. These have been seen here for a while but alas I could not find any this morning. My journey was not wasted though as I spotted Dunlin, Ringed Plover, LRP, Common Sandpiper, Pied Wagtail, Mipit, Canada and Skylark.

Sunday 8th June a.m.
A sunny start with a temperature of 10°C but quite windy which kept some of the birds low in the Reeds. It didn't bother the Swifts which were plentiful all across the site, good to see four Avocets on Astley Lake. A Cuckoo was calling in this area and a couple of Bitterns were booming Cetti's Warblers were their usual vocal selves. Common Terns were nesting and Gt Crested Grebes already had chicks, others were Gadwall, Shoveler, Pochard, Tufted, Little Egret, Lapwing & Reed Bunting.
