Harden Moor

Monday 4th May a.m.
We started the morning off at Harden Moor where there was a strong wind blowing, the sun was shining though with a temperature of 8°C.We passed the Sand Martins in their usual spot  & heard the call of a Cuckoo & today got a view of it as it was chased by a Meadow Pipit. Some Willow Warblers were around singing, we spotted the usual Redpolls along with other species. We were happy to re-locate the Garden Warbler with also a second bird.It was singing from more cover this time making a snap difficult, then it went into a tree above. This would normally be a good opportunity for a snap but the wind was blowing the tree branches making it much more difficult. We got a couple of snaps & decided to move on to Redcar tarn, report to follow...
