Thursday 6th February a.m.
A sunny frosty morning at 0°C as I went for a walk alongside the canal and River Aire at Dowley Gap, Bingley. As I passed the water works something spooked the c25 Pied Wagtails who rose and scattered. As I crossed the aqueduct a Song Thrush was singing away and further along a couple of Goosanders were resting beside the River. I turned round following the River seeing c50 Canadas and a single Greylag plus two Grey Herons. Heading back I saw two Little Grebes which rounded off an enjoyable walk.
