Yeadon Tarn

Sunday 17th June a.m.
A cloudy morning with a temperature of 10°C when we arrived at Yeadon Tarn but at
least the rain held off.The numbers of Canadas has increased since our last visit and the
Bar-headed Goose is still with them. There were several House Martins feeding low over
the water and low over the bushes around the Tarn, they came within meters of us and try
as we might me and my dad failed to get a snap of them. They were just too quick but still
it was good to see them so close with their distinctive white rump.We spotted a LT Tit
feeding in a tree and there were Great Crested Grebes still present.
