Saturday 6th December a.m.
After a cold frosty night the early morning sun led the temperature to rise to 2°C by the time we reached Harold Park. Here there was a good selection of the usual birds plus a
Grey Heron on the island.Amongst the
BH Gulls there were a few
Commons plus a bigger Gull our first thought was LBB but the very pale mantle led us to think
Herring Gull.It did take off from the water at one point & our blurred snap showed its legs as pink which hopefully confirms our ID on this occasion.
Elsewhere in the Park there were
Chaffinch &
House Sparrows, the small pond was still frozen over.
