Saturday 26th September a.m.
A cloudy morning with a temperature of 11°C at Dowley Gap as we set off for a walk alongside the canal.
Mallards were on the canal with plenty
Magpies & BH Gulls at the water works, also in this area
Pied & Grey Wagtails,Dunnock,Robin,Wren & Chiffchaff. As we crossed the aqueduct a flock of
Great,Blue & LT Tits passed by, we then turned into Hirst Wood & took the path at the side of the River Aire.Further along we found more
Mallards,Mute Swan & a
Goosander which we have missed seeing through the summer. We turned & retraced our steps seeing a Grey Squirrel & a few more common species of birds on our way back to the car.
