Started off at Yeadon Tarn this morning, dull, coudy with light rain showers the
temperature was 5°C. On getting out of the car we looked up to see c100 Lapwings
fly overhead, on the Tarn there were good numbers of Mallards and BH Gulls as well
as 32 Canadas. There were the usual Coots and Moorhens with around 14 Tufted Ducks
and 12 Pochard. There were 4 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Mandarin Duck and 3 male and
2 female Goosander. The goosanders kept to the middle of the Tarn, then c100 Lapwings
flew over the Tarn not sure if it was the same flock as we saw earlier.
