 Saturday 24th February a.m.

A frosty morning but sunny with a temperature of 1°C, less Gulls today with c25 BH Gulls and two Herring Gulls.  There were two Oystercatchers on the island with a Wigeon near by, others were Canadas, Greylags, Tufteds, Pied Wagtail, Chaffinch and Robin.

Lister Park

Sunday 18th February a.m.

Another dull morning with a temperature of 10°C but plenty birds on the Lake including Canadas, Goosander, Tufteds, Greylags, Moorhen, Coots, BH Gull and Herring Gull. Higher up in the Park a Treecreeper and a flock of c25 Siskin were seen, others were LT Tit, Dunnock, Feral Pigeon and Robin.

Hewenden Reservoir

Saturday 17th February a.m.

A cloudy morning but feeling mild with a temperature of 8°C, a walk around the Reservoir produced the usual common species.  These included Blackbird, Blue Tit, Robin, Dunnock, Gt Tit and Woodpigeon.  The water held two pair of Goldeneye, Goosander, Coot, Cormorant, Tufteds, Moorhen, BH Gull, Common Gull and Herring Gull.

Yeadon Tarn

 Sunday 11th February p.m.

A very busy Yeadon Tarn with people out for an afternoon stroll in the mild conditions, there was a temperature of 8°C and some sunny spells.  An Oystercatcher on the island got me off to a good start, followed by a Kestrel hovering in the distance an three Cormorants were on the wooden breakwaters. A drake Pochard was diving repeatedly around the otherside of the island making taking a picture difficult.  Others included Tufteds, Mute Swans, Canadas, Greylags, BH and Common Gulls.
