Sunday 12th July a.m.
A good sunny start to the day with a temperature of 11°C on Harden Moor where there were plenty Warblers including
Whitethroat, Blackcap and
Willow Warbler. Three
Oystercatchers flew around the quarry with a couple of
Swifts overhead, also good to see a juvenile
Stonechat. Others included
Kestrel, Bullfinch, Green Woodpecker, Linnet, Meadow Pipit, Wren and
Goldfinch.
Butterflies were enjoying the sunshine too including Red Admiral and Small Tortoiseshell.
