Yeadon Tarn

 Tuesday 26th December a.m.

A rare lovely sunny morning so I set off to Yeadon Tarn where thr temperature was 4°C onmy arrival.  As I walked towards the water a flock of Goldfinch were feeding in the trees, on the water there were 20 Mute Swans, 25 Tufteds, Goosanders, Cormorants, BH Gulls and Canadas.

  On my way home I went to Dowley Gap and went for a walk alongside the canal and the river seeing Canadas, Greylags, Goosanders, Pied Wagtails and Grey Heron.

Lister Park

 Sunday 17th December a.m.

A brightening morning with a temperature of 9°C as I walked round the Lake. The three Goosanders on the water soon flew off leaving c75 Canadas, Tufteds and Moorhens.  A couple of Pied Wagtails appeared on the path and elsewhere in the Park there were 20 Siskins high in a tree.

Harold Park & Park Dam

 Sunday 5th November a..m.

A bit cloudy with a temperature of 7°C when I arrived at Harold Park where the usual Tufteds,Moorhens & Coots were present.  On the island there were five Goosanders and a male was in the water under the trees as was a Great Crested Grebe.

At Park Dam there were three Goosanders, Tufteds, Common Gull, Mute Swans and Two Great Crested Grebes.

Redcar Tarn

 Saturday 23rd September a.m.

A sunny morning up at the Tarn with a temperature of 12°C where there were c75 Canadas and 53 Lapwings were in a field nearby.  Others seen were Goosander, Pied Wagtail, Tufteds, Grey Heron, BH and LBB Gulls.

Swillington Ings

 Sunday 3rd September a. m.

A cloudy start to the morning with a temperature of 12°C but the sun soon came out and the temperature rose quickly.  A good variety of birds on the Lakes and Reed beds with high numbers of Coots, Greylags and Lapwings.  There were a few Swallows over the Lake and three Buzzards came over enjoying the sunshine.  Others seen were Dunlin, Gt Crested Grebe, Little Egret, Little Grebe, Gadwall, Reed Bunting, Ringed Plover, Ruff, Shoveler, Snipe, Teal, Tufted & Wigeon.
