Saturday 19th March a.m.
A frosty but sunny morning at St Ives Coppice pond with a temperature of 5°C where GSWs were drumming but difficult to spot them. On the water there were Mute Swans, Canadas, Tufteds, Moorhens, Coots and Mallards. Walking round a flock of six Siskin were seen as well as a couple of Song Thrushes, Robin, Jay, Chaffinch and Gt Tit were seen.
I came home via Harden Moor where Skylarks were up singing, Mipits were also on the Moor, a pair of Bullfinch were seen and good to hear and see my first Chiffchaff of the year.
