Tuesday 16th December a.m.
A dry morning at last with a temperature of 6°C as I headed to Hewenden Reservoir and there was even an appearance of the sun. There were c50 Canadas in the field above the res, a pair of Goldeneye were on the water with a Tufted, Cormorant & Teal. Heading back there was a mixed flock of Fieldfare, Redwing, Mistle Thrush & Starlings plus Chaffinch & Goldfinch were nearby. A couple of male Pheasants were seen and five Greenfinch, a Kestrel was hidden in a distant tree, it fortunately came nearer to pose for a picture.
