Redcar Tarn

Saturday 28th December a.m.
After a dull rainy start to the day we had some bright spells with sunshine and a temperature

Lapwing flock increasing in number in the surrounding fields. As we walked round it was good
to see Robin,Chaffinch,Dunnock & Goldfinch in the hedges around the Tarn footpath.

  1. You certainly have lots of birds around at this stage of the winter. It's incredible for me to see that many Lapwings!

  2. We are very lucky to see the flocks of Lapwings in the Winter, as Spring comes they will pair up & go to their breeding sites on the surrounding moorland.
