Monday 11th April p.m.
Some time free this afternoon so we went up to Redcar Tarn where there was some hazy sunshine with a strong blustery wind taking the edge off the 13°C temperature. There are still some Gulls here with a fair number of
BH Gulls,10
LBB Gulls & a couple each of
Herring &
Common.The usual
Canadas,Mallards,Coots &
Tufted Ducks were on the water with the bonus of an
Oystercatcher near the island.A
Goldfinch posed well for some snaps in the trees around the Tarn as did a singing male
Chaffinch.
Lapwings,Jackdaw &
Rook were also present.
On our return home we filled the bird feeders up in the garden and a couple of minutes later were rewarded with Goldfinch &
Siskin, we were able to get close enough for some good snaps of one of the male Siskin.
