Saturday 5th August a.m.
With good conditions and a temperature of 13°C I decided to have a wonder round Harden Moor,it is hard work though with increasing numbers of people walking their dogs and disturbing the birds as you find them. The main birds seen this morning were
Willow Warblers all of which kept moving,
Sand Martins were still around and good numbers of
Goldfinch were on the Thistle seeds.I saw several Linnets and managed to get near enough to a Juvenile
Blackcap for a couple of pictures of it in a Raspberry patch.Other common species such as
Blackbird and
Robin were seen as were a couple of
Swallows.
Back in Cullingworth it was good to see three
Swifts which I expect will be off South any day now.
