Cullingworth and Hewenden Reservoir

Sunday 3rd February a.m.
A cold morning in Cullingworth with a temperature of -3°C  with dry conditions but a chilly wind blowing.Walking was difficult with the lying snow in many places now turned to ice, the Reservoir was 50% covered in ice with c100 BH Gulls and the same number of Canadas. A mix of Commons and Herring Gulls too with two Mute Swans and twelve Tufteds. At the top end of the reservoir there were four Goldeneye, four Wigeon, four Goosanders and one Teal.Four Cormorants circled the reservoir before spending a short time in the water.
