Sunday 11th August a.m.
A poor morning with wind and rain and a temperature of 15°C at Dowley Gap where there was a
Mute Swan on the canal. The water works had 30
Swallows and 25
House Martins overhead, with a couple of
Pied Wagtails in the filter tanks. Also in this area several
Chiffchaff and a couple of
Willow Warblers and
Blackcaps. Others seen included
Goosander, Nuthatch, Cormorant and
Jay. Not a morning for taking pictures but I scraped a couple together.
