Saturday 3rd August a.m.
A bright sunny start with a temperature of 16°C on Harden Moor where the first birds of note were a family of five
Bullfinch.There were several
Willow Warblers singing with
Blackcap and
Whitethroat also present,
Goldfinch were on the Thistle seeds.Others of note were a couple of
Lapwings flying over and a flock of fifteen
House Martins coming over to feed.
It was also good to see a good selection of Butterflies in good numbers especially the Painted Lady.
