Thursday 24th September a.m.
A sunny morning with a temperature of 10°C when I arrived at Leighton Moss on the West coast near Morcambe Bay. A good start seeing Great White Egret & Little Egret with c100 Redshank & c100 Lapwings. From Eric Morcambe hide I could see c250 Black-tailed Godwitts in the distance, plenty others including Dunlin, Curlew, Shoveler, Goosander, Snipe & Pied Wagtail. I was also pleased to see a couple of Spotted Reshanks, a Ruff and several Greenshanks. I moved across to the main reserve adding Gadwall, Pintail, Coot, Moorhen & Mute Swan.
