Sunday 14th January a.m.
A cold sunny morning with a temperature of 0°C, I headed for the Lake some of which was frozen over. There were two Goosanders, Tufteds, Mallards, Coots and a good number of Gulls. There were c75 Canadas grazing with a pair of Pied Wagtails, others in the Park were Nuthatch, Siskin,Robin and Dunnock.

Saturday 13th January a.m.
A chilly but sunny start to the morning with a temperature of 3°C as I walked down to Hallas Bridge seeing Buzzard, Pheasant, Mistle Thrush, Treecreeper, Great Tit & Starling. Walking through Goit Stock Wood alongside Hallas beck I saw two Dipper, Robin, Blue Tit, Wren & Blackbird.

Sunday 7th January a.m.
A dull overcast morning but to keep the exercise going I decided to go for a walk alongside the canal starting at Riddlesden and finishing at Low Wood, the temperature was 3°C. There were twelve Goosanders seen plus Canadas,Greylags,Mallards,Mute Swan and a Tufted. At Low Wood Nuthatch,Blue Tit,LT Tit,Robin,Dunnock and Gt Tit were seen, other during the walk included Pheasant.

Saturday 6th January a.m.
Making the most of some rare sunshine I went up to Redcar Tarn where it was a chilly 2°C and I got the rewards of a Pintail & a Wigeon. Plenty other birds with c100 Canadas in the field alongside the Tarn, also Herring Gulls, LBB Gulls, BH Gulls, Greylags, Tufteds, Mallards & Coots. Others included Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Robin, Wren, Jackdaw & Rook.

Saturday 6th January a.m.
A frosty start to the day with a temperature of 1°C and the sun still low in the sky as I started off with a Peregrine Falcon in its normal spot. There were three Goosanders in the River with a Grey Wagtail looking for food. Others seen were Blackbird, Bullfinch and Goldcrest.
