Friday 22nd April
We had a trip out to Fairburn Ings near Castleford today, this is a RSPB
run Nature Reserve. There was a little mist about when we set off but this
was soon burnt off leaving another warm sunny day with the temperature
up to 23°C. At the reserve there were many different kinds of birds to see, I
stopped counting when I got to a 100 Mute Swans. Other noteable birds
were two Black Swans,Gery Heron,Moorhen with chicks,Shelduck,Thrush,
Lapwing, distant Great Crested Grebe and the list goes on, here are a few snaps
we took.
