Garden Views and Keighley Treat

Wednesday 17th August p.m.
A good sunny day today with the temperature up to 17°C, in the garden a
Woodpigeon was on the bird feeder with a Great Spotted Woodpecker watching
from a nearby tall Conifer. The Budlia bush is flowering well along with our English
Marigolds which were given to us as seeds earlier in the year.
We went to Keighley town center in the evening, where we stopped has the River
Worth running nearby. We decided to have a look on the off chance that there might
be any birds about and yes there were 4 Mallards, but better still a pair of Dippers.
They soon flew off so no chance of a snap but what luck to see them so close up
in the center of Keighley. Just as a reminder I've put a picture of a Dipper below
which we took in April at Bolton Abbey.
