With an afternoon to spare I decided to go up to Redcar Tarn, moving from no snow in Keighley to the fields around the Tarn being covered in snow. The Tarn itself was three quarters covered in ice, the temperature was 1.5°C on a dull day.Despite the conditions the area was still full of birds mainly Gulls & Mallards. There were a good number of Rooks in the field alongside of the Tarn with several paired up keeping warm together.Other birds seen were Pied Wagtail,Dunnock,Robin,Moorhen & Tufted Duck.N.P.
