A quick visit up to Redcar Tarn this morning where the wind was howling & some rain showers with a temperature of 4°C.There was nothing out of the ordinary on the water so we skipped our usual circuit & went on Tarn Lane.The field alongside held c250 Lapwing & we could see Chaffinch in & around the trees.After hanging around for a while the c40 flock of birds came down in to a field where we could ID & count 12 Brambling among the Chaffinch.We got a couple of record snaps & then headed off home to get warm.
