Saturday 12th march a.m.
The morning started with some sunshine but it soon clouded over with a temperature of 5°C.As we approached Leeshaw we checked out the field at Upper Marsh seeing four
Golden Plover which were our first of the year.In the surrounding fields at Leeshaw there were
Curlew,Oystercatcher,Lapwings, BH Gulls and we spotted two
Little Owls again our first ones for the year.On the water were
Canadas &
Greylags with more BH Gulls with the bonus of a few
Commons mixed in.There was a
Pied Wagtail in a field & later as we were taking a snap of an Oystercatcher on the dam wall another Pied Wagtail appeared.
