Saturday 15th April a.m.
I had a run out to Swillington Ings this morning where it was 9°C but feeling bitterly cold in the strong Northerly wind. There were plenty of birds around but most kept their distance meaning not too many pictures today. It was good to hear a Bittern booming again and to see three
Black-necked Grebes, there were c100
Sand Martins flying around with c 250
BH Gulls.Other birds seen were
Gadwall,Pochard,Redshank,Lapwing,Oystercatcher,Read Bunting,Linnet,Goldeneye,Gt C. Grebe, Skylark,Wigeon and
Wren.
