Cullingworth to Hewenden Reservoir

Saturday 3rd March a.m.
The poor weather continued with snow and ice underfoot and a temperature of-2°C as I headed off towards Hewenden Reservoir. On the way I saw Robins,Blue Tits,Great Tits,Collared Dove and Dunnock trying to find food in the poor conditions. The reservoir held six Goosanders, three Canadas, three Mute Swans, five Cormorants, one female Goldeneye,Moorhen,Teal,BH and Common Gulls with Jackdaws on the dam wall. Then the relative quiet was disturbed with the pipping of a pair of Oystercatchers as they flew round and landed on the side of the res.
