Sunday 23rd August a.m.
Some early morning sunshine soon turned to cloud cover and grey skies with a temperature of 13°C and a brisk wind. These conditions made it a difficult morning for spotting birds, the walk was pleasant though even though there was plenty mud on the paths and wet grass. I did manage to re-locate the Redstart which has been around for a few weeks now, though no chance of a picture. When I reached Doe Park Reservoir I could see a Cormorant and a Grey Heron. The route back produced a few more birds with a mixed flock of LT Tits, Blue Tits and Willow Warblers. A few Swallows were flying around and c30 House Martins were feeding high over the trees, others seen were Jay and Kestrel.
