Saturday 8th August a.m.
After a foggy start the sun soon broke through and with a temperature of 17°C as I started my walk through Denholme Clough with a Kestrel. A quiet walk with just a Jay and a couple of Swallows until I spotted a Redstart, then at the reservoir there was a distant Cormorant and a Grey Heron. Heading back I relocated the Redstart and also a second bird and a possible third. I spent some time in this area and managed some decent pictures before moving on seeing another Kestrel and a Willow Warbler. The morning finished well with a Green Woodpecker perched on a post.
