Saturday 29th August a.m.
A bright sunny morning with a temperature of 9°C as I walked round Redcar Tarn where there were c50 Canadas, 10 Lapwings and 8 Tufteds. Above were flying House Martins, Sand Martins and Swallows, a few Pied Wagtails were seen as was a Grey Wagtail. Some Coots were squabbling and on the island there was a Coot chick, in the corner of the Tarn a female Mallard had several young chicks.
