Sunday 6th September a.m.
A dull start but brightening up at the Tarn with a temperature of 15°C, the highlight of the visit was a single Shoveler on the water. In the field over the road there were c50 Lapwings with Starlings, BH Gulls and a returning Common Gull. Also on the water were c 100 Canadas, c125 Mallards with two broods of chicks, 15 Tufteds plus Coots. Several Pied Wagtails were seen, just a couple of Swallows overhead and four Mipits in the next field, Jackdaws and Rooks were also present.
