Sunday 28th February a.m.
A cold frosty morning starting at -1°C but with the sun out a walk alongside the Canal and river Aire at Dowley Gap beckoned. At first it was quiet but as the sun rose and the temperature increased a good mix of birds were seen including Goosander, Grey Wagtail Pied Wagtail, Oystercatcher, Grey Heron, Jay, Song Thrush, Greylag, Canada and other common species.
