Yeadon Tarn

Sunday 23rd Janary a.m.

A drive over to Yeadon Tarn with a bonus of a Red Kite over Hawksworth Moor on my way in cloudy conditions with a temperature of 5°C.  Three Cormorants were on the wooden breakwaters, a good count of 22 Mute Swans, c50 Canadas and 30 Tufteds.  There were also two male Pochards on the water, always good to see these birds in the local area.

I came home via Knotford Nook where I saw my first Oystercatcher of the year, 12 Goldeneye, 6 Gadwall, 2 G.C.Grebe and several Wigeon.
