Tuesday 7th May a.m.
A cloudy morning at 12°C but feeling cold at this local exposed Reservoir which has access to BOG members. I could hear Curlews calling and one flew over in the distance, there were four Oystercatchers two of which were very vocal. A Red Grousewas on a distant wall, there were c50 LBB Gulls, there was at least one Herring Gull. As I walked towards the hide there were Canadas with goslings on the water and several Mallards. From the hide I saw a couple of Pied Wagtails and several Meadow Pipits but the highlight were a Common Sandpiper and a Redshank which both came close for a picture.
