Sunday 27th April a.m.
Some good sunny spells this morning with a temperature of 11°C, plenty birds up singing with Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler & Whitethroat well established now. Then through the din came the sound of the Cuckoo calling, a bird I look forward to returning every Spring. They only stay for seven weeks or so before returning back to Africa so I was excited when I located the bird to get a picture. The bird was moving around and it flew into the distance, but among the Blackbirds & Robins singing I was rewarded with the melody of a Garden Warbler singing, seeing at least two of them. Others were Skylark, Kestrel, Meadow Pipit, Swallow & Sand Martin.
