Keighley Moor Reservoir

 Tuesday 29th April a.m.

A beautiful sunny morning feeling warm at 13°C walking up to the Reservoir seeing Linnet,  Curlew, Lapwing, Swallow, Willow Warbler, Mistle Thrush & Meadow Pipit.  At the Res there was a male Wheatear which later came closer to pose for some pictures, others here were Greylag, Canada, Mallard & LBB Gull.  Good to chat with IH again on his local patch, I saw a distant Common Sandpiper which then flew to the rocks under the dam wall so I was able to get some good pictures.  There were a few White Butterflies flying around, a Cuckoo called from over the moor, as I headed back FD was on his way to the Res so another good chat. On the way back I saw a couple of Kestrels and a couple of Oystercatchers.
