Swillington Ings

 Saturday 10th May a.m.

Another sunny morning starting off at 6°C at Swillington Ings where there were numerous Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler, Cetti's Warbler, Willow Warbler as I walked round.  A small number of Bearded Tits briefly showed for a picture it was also good to get my first Mediterranean Gull on Astley Lake at this site.  As I was taking a picture of the Med Gull a LRP photo bomed it so I'll take that one.  Loads of Common Terns here now, plenty others were seen including Reed Bunting, Linnet, Black-necked Grebe, Great Crested Grebe, Lapwing, Oystercatcher, Shelduck, Shoveler, Pochard & Gadwall.
