Sunday 26th October a.m.
A sunny start at Swillington but chilly with a temperature of 3°C, as usual loads of birds to see seven Curlew were a surprise though. There were good numbers of Teal & Shoveler as well as Pochard, Gadwall & Tufteds. There were a couple of Great White Egrets and I saw six Little Egrets, overhead a distant Red Kite glided by and a Kestrel passed by. A Kingfisher drew a crowd as it caught fish, others were Gt Crested Grebe, Little Grebe, Lapwing, Cormorant & Grey Heron.
