Another cloudy day with a chilly feel at just 8°C, the first thing we saw at Harold Park
was Swifts which seemed to be everywhere. These were our first of the year, they were feeding
around the trees & over the water with Swallows & House Martins. On the water were Canadas,
Coots,Mallards,Moorhen & Tufted Duck, with one Coot on a nest with at least one young chick.
A Chiffchaff was singing & a Greenfinch could also be heard, a Magpie briefly posed for a snap.
We moved down the road to Park Dam where again there was good numbers of Swift & Swallows
feeding over the water.Other birds here were Mute Swan,Coot,Mallard & Tufted Duck along with
other usual species.
