Lister Park

Sunday May 5th a.m.
On our arrival at Lister Park in Bradford it was cloudy, with some light drizzle from time
to time and some spells of sunshine later in the morning, the start temperature was 10.5°C.
We first went to the lake where there was Mallards,Canadas,Coots,Moorhen & Tufted Duck.
We saw a Moorhen looking after a young chick, there was also a couple of older Mallard chicks
which were having to fend for themselves with no adults with them. There was a large number of
Feral Pigeons which are worth a snap if you can get some sun light on them.A pair of Mistle Thrushes
were collecting material for nest building,Wrens were singing along with Blackbird & Chaffinch.
We walked up to the wooded area seeing a GSW high in a tree & a  Nuthatch,a couple of LT Tits
were flitting about in the trees, one of those nearly had that snaps with them. A few Grey Squirrels were about & a Peacock Butterfly rounded a good morning off as we headed for home.
