Redcar Tarn

Friday 20th September p.m.
It was cloudy up at Redcar Tarn with a temperature of 11.5°C during our visit, the usual birds
were present with a couple of notable additions. We saw our first Grey Heron here as it took off
from the island flew over the hedgerow at the back of the Tarn & landed on a distant wall. Also as
we were scanning The Gulls & Duck for something out of the ordinary we discovered a Wigeon
another site first for us.
On our way home we took a different route to normal which took us over Keighley Moor which
proved a success as we saw two Little Owls & a Kestrel which was perched in a tree.
