Leeshaw

Saturday 8th March a.m.
A cloudy start to the day with a temperature of 5°C on our arrival at Leeshaw, but
it felt chilly with a strong blustery wind blowing. The reservoir was quiet with just a
Cormorant & a couple of Mallards but  the surrounding area was full of birds again
as it was last week. There were large numbers of Geese,Lapwings,Curlew,Oystercatchers
& a first for us here a flock of Fieldfare. It was good to see Mipits & a couple of Reed
Buntins, there was also a few Pheasants around. It was also good to see a couple of Little
Owls back in their usual spot rounding off a good mornings birding.
