Friday 11th September
With a decent weather forecast I decided to have a run out to Leighton Moss on the West coast near Morecambe Bay.On arrival the temperature was 15°C with some decent spells of sunshine, I started off at the hides which overlook Morecambe Bay with a good selection of wader on view. The stars for me were
Greenshank &
Spotted Redshank among the
Redshank,Dunlin,Snipe,Black-tailed Godwit, Lapwing &
Little Egret.There was also
Cormorant,Grey Heron,Chiffchaff singing & to liven them all up a fly over from a
Marsh Harrier.A great start to the day with more to follow later...N.P.
