Cullingworth and Hewenden Reservoir

Saturday 20th October a.m.
A mild start to the morning with a temperature of 9°C and some good spells of sunshine on my walk up to and around Hewenden Reservoir. The highlights of the morning came from the top end of the reservoir where there were eleven Wigeon and six Teal. Also near here I spotted my first Redwings of the Autumn and saw around 25 birds pile into a Holly Tree but not showing for a picture. Then a flock of c50 Fieldfare appeared some being more obliging for a picture before the flock flew in to the distance.A good number of other species were seen including Blue Tit,Canada,Collared Dove, Coot, Cormorant,Kestrel,Mistle Thrush,Tufted Duck,Grey Heron,Moorhen,Pied Wagtail and Mute Swan.
