Saturday 14th September a.m.
A good morning with bright sunshine and a temperature of 11°C at Leeming Reservoir, where the first bird I saw was a
Grey Wagtail in the bottom stream about 75m away. There were four
Swallows overhead and a couple of
House Martins, on the water were 50
LBB Gulls, just a few
BH Gulls, Tufteds and a
Cormorant.A first for me here was a
Little Grebe, a couple of
Robins and a
Bullfinch were also seen,
Chiffchaffs were singing but elusive as were a couple of
Willow Warblers. Also good to see some Butterflies, Painted lady have been in abundance recently and a couple of Red Admirals which I have not seen many of this year.
