Friday 13th September a.m.
A decent morning with some sunny spells and a temperature of 8°C which meant good driving conditions on my run out to the RSPB Reserve at Leighton Moss.Here the best of the birds were on the pools near Morecambe Bay with c200
Black-tailed Godwits and c100
Redshanks being the bulk of the birds.Plenty waders were on show including
Curlew Sandpiper, Dunlin, Spotted Redshank,
Ruff, Greenshank, Little Egret and
Great White Egret.Others included
Teal, Shelduck, Little Grebe, Great Crested Grebe, Cormorant, Grey Heron and
Gadwall.
