Thursday 2nd April
The morning started well with some sunshine & a temperature of 1.5°C on Harden Moor. The highlights here were two
Little Owls,Kestrel,Mipits &
Redpoll. We then moved on to Ogden Water where it was fairly quiet, the highlights being
Cormorant,Moorhen,Song Thrush,Jay with
Nuthatch & Coal Tit on the feeders. No sign of the Barnacle Goose with the six
Canadas we saw which was a shame.
This afternoon we ventured out again up to Redcar Tarn in warm sunshine up to 7°C. The highlights here were a pair of
Oystercatchers,Greylag,Lapwing,Pied Wagtail & LBB Gulls.
