Friday 7th September a.m.
A trip out to Leighton Moss this morning with cloudy conditions to start with follwed by sunshine with a start temperature of 12°C.I started off at Eric Morecambe hide where there were c150 Redshanks, seven Greenshanks,Black-tailed Godwit,Little Egret,Cormorant,Teal and Lapwing.
I then moved on to the main reserve where Lilian hide was full of birds with c250 Black-tailed Godwits,c100 Teal,Ruff,Redshank,Greenshank,Water Rail Juv and others. The relative calm was upset when a Peregrine Juvenile made a couple of attempts for something, also a Marsh Harrier was seen in the distance.
