Saturday 1st September a.m.
A bright morning with a temperature of 14°C at Yeadon Tarn where there was not too much variety of birds to choose from on the water. There were
Tufteds,Mallards,Coots,Moorhen and the pair of
Mute Swans with their four growing Cygnets.Above the water were
House Martins and
Swallows and I was very pleased to get a September
Swift, most were gone locally in early August.Walking round the Tarn I saw a couple of
Willow Warblers and also a couple of
BH Gulls then a commotion from some
Carrion Crows drew my eyes up over the water.A large Rapter flew across being mobbed by the crows, it was in silhouette making ID difficult for me between Buzzard or Red Kite, I decided on
Buzzard looking through the pics, see if you agree.

ReplyDelete3rd Buzzard picture is a cracker.
Don't know how you get your Warblers to sit still.
John
Thanks John, sometimes I'm lucky with the Warblers but they often give me the runaround.
