St Ives Coppice Pond

Sunday 20th January a.m.
A gloomy morning as I made my way to St Ives near Bingley where the temperature was 3°C as I headed for the Coppice Pond. Here there were c100 BH Gulls and two each of LBB and Common Gulls, it was good to see the family of Mute Swans still present. There were also four Goosanders which were snorkelling for food a Grey Heron was on the island.Whilst walking round a flash of blue flew away from me which gave me a sight first in the form of a Kingfisher, it perched in a tree on the island which meant I could get a record shot through the gloom.
